The da Vinci Force Bipolar can be used throughout a surgical case for grasping, retraction, dissection, and bipolar coagulation of tissue.

The Force Bipolar is the first da Vinci instrument with DualGrip technology. This innovation allows surgeons to easily alternate between a normal and strong grip with the simple tap of a pedal. It effectively combines two instruments – the Fenestrated Bipolar Forceps and ProGrasp – into one to enable efficiency³ and cost savings.⁴ With this instrument surgeons can stay focused on the surgical field, instead of switching to a different grasper in the middle of a case.

Simply change from “Default” to “Strong” mode using the foot pedal to get a stronger hold of a suture or tissue. The bipolar energy function is available in both modes.
